We had a very nice schola event this past Saturday at the baron and baroness' castle (hence the event name). Tonight we hosted a pot-luck dinner for about a dozen SCA people. We declared the theme to be 14th-century English. We should have asked people to register their intent to make ember-day tarts; we had three. :-) All different and all tasty; this is certainly not a complaint. I was just surprised. This morning I learned that the Strip District (source of food, not porn) pretty much closes on Sunday. Fortunately, I had called the alleged Mecca of pickles, olives, grape leaves, and the like before going there.
